Thank you for 8,888 hits! Here's Part 2 of the 10,000-hit "surprise." Just trying to offer some advice and insight on the way I do things - it's most definitely not the only way to use a pencil! Please read Part One for a better understanding of what I've put in this part.
Remember, full-view is necessary to view the tutorial. I'd appreciate it if, if you liked it, you commented and/or showed others. Thank you!

Come as you are, as you were As I want you to be As a friend, as a friend, as an old enemy
Take your time, hurry up The choice is your, don't be late Take a rest as a friend as an old memoria Come dowsed in mud, soaked in bleach As I want you to be..._ni
you are so methodical in your technique. i'm all over the place. i can never make a tutorial on shading. i have not method of how i do it. it's really nice seeing the steps prior to your final pieces. your effects alwasys look so much different and smoother than mine, not to mention cleaner.
good work woe. keep 'em coming!

...i saw someone today who jerked my heartstrings... .....and i felt someone touch my soul... ...............whenever i see you, i feel as if my very being is calling out to you.. ...this void..how come i never realized it till i met you?
______________D8 *gapes at your drool-worthy technique* I really like how you stenciled out the hair... the width variation with the pencil makes the outlines look SO dang fancy!
I really want to try out pencils now, but at the same time, I'm scared of failure. But I have to learn! Ahh, I'll see if my wallet can afford some basic tools right now... >3
As for the lightbox deal, I use my bedroom window and tape (I only use this for watercolors because I don't want there to be a lot of erased lines on the final product)! It gets a lot of sunlight as long as I'm not trying to transfer stuff at night. Drawing on a computer monitor and needing to turn sideways seems a lot more difficult... x__x Is that an old spare used just from lining purposes? I think doing it on my monitor might break something. *ouch!*
all I've been asking for for xmas/birthday for the past two years is a nice little light table... I've yet to get one :<
You're so much more organized about your shading than I am. Mine's always a messy mass of scribbles XD
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

How did you develop such a great 3-dimensional image of the human face in your mind? It seems to be one of the things that continually eludes me. X.x
