QUESTING: Tuition - $140($260)/$4153 (no due date yet... I find out in like, a week.)

EDIT (07/28/08): As most of you know, I've been working as a resident teaching assistant with some high schoolers this summer. Thus, I apologize for not posting much outside of artwork. However, I find that - since I am pre-paying two years of Ivy League tuition on top of rent and "program fees" - I am way short.

So, to help ease the pain until my stipend (and Otakon) comes, I'll be taking some SKETCH COMMISSIONS (very light shading, varying from half to full body). Originals mailed for an extra $5 USD per envelope (can have multiple pictures per envelope). You have to pay before I begin. You can get:

1 Character for $15
2 Characters for $20
4 Characters for $30
8 Characters for $40

Ink - +$5 per char
Moderate Shading - +$10 per char
Heavy Shading - +$20 per char

Feel free to ask for larger commissions (such as color) or other additions (such as headshots). I'm willing to negotiate.

If any of you know me, I have a book - my (really late) birthday gift from ~kheleksul - that I collect sketches in (I would do color, but I wouldn't risk touching marker or watercolor to such absorbent paper). I was making a list of artists I want to commission at the next two cons I'm going to - and it's damned long. ;_; And well, I'm poor *headdesk*. So, I'm going to ask if anyone wants to sketch trade with me at the convention itself. Merchandise is fine, too, just tell me which print (or whatever) you want when you comment - I need to reserve it for you.

First off, I will be attending ANIME EXPO in Los Angeles, CA from July 3-6. In the works, I have some Gurren Lagann (halfway through inking) and Vampire Knight (still sketching, it's coming out really gay...). Oh god, am I nervous. Please, please, buy form me - this is the most I've ever spent on a single con, and it's equivalent to an entire semester's pay at my normal TAing job. If you are going, please say hi. And now, the shout-outs as requisite for AnimeNext. Which, could have been a lot better but, given the circumstances, was pretty damned good. I made a record amount of money (courtesy of the Death Note print). Unfortunately, we were in a bloody parking lot with little to no air conditioning, far far away from everything else - last year, we had entrace-side seats! ;_; Oh well.

I'm style griping, worried about AX. I feel like some washed-out, super-stiff, untrained imitation of the Canadians and ~VuscISM and =Tirael and ~kheleksul. I need to stop comparing myself to my friends. That said, I'll just work it off, and thank you very much for 60k hits. I am so surprised I've made it this far. I'm trying to get better, I swear.
