May 2009 - I CAN'T GET A GODDAMN BREAK

I bet a lot of you, especially those who travel with me, wonder what's going on.

Shit Happens. To Me. A Lot.

Ugh, so I finally made it home after being sequestered, internet-less at my grandfather's funeral and missing a lot of potential fun and revenue at Anime Boston. Two days before arriving, my grandmother fell down the stairs and broke her arm. I "slept" in a chair in the hospital. Then, the nursing home decided not to take her until Tuesday, meaning we had to go through the trouble of transferring her to our house. To make her more comfortable, we turned the air conditioning on higher than usual. This causes our power grid thing to catch on fire. After calling the fire department, it turns out we no longer have power. Indefinitely. Without electricity, I cannot print my sketchbooks or bake my keychains. In desperation, I go to my mom's work (with a damn toaster over to make keychains!), and it turns out her printer is incompatible with my computer. And the holes I've punched in my keychains are too small for the ball chains I've bought for them - ball chains of which I only have thirty, which I bought in a desperate late night run to AC Moore 15 minutes ago.

I have to somehow get it together and fly to A-Kon tomorrow morning.

I really have no idea how I'm going to do this.

Oh! I commissioned Ana last year

Sadly, I'm totally broke until summer so can't commission this time... T___T

As for OCs, hmmm....
I can't choose between two to suggest to you XD So here's both:

Red - Red is the nickname given to him because of his red hair and red cloak. He has the arms and legs of an automata (human android, in his world) and thus has superhuman speed and strength. [colored character sketch + more backstory] [pencil character sketch]

Alexis Mourning, from my world, Enali Mana. He is a candidate to be one of the successors of the infamous assassin group, the Martyrs. [line art]
His hair is black and his eyes are golden brown. His left arm is an android's arm, and his glasses are actually those futuristic virtual-reality-ish goggle thingies. And yes, his hair is a pain to draw. @__@

I hope that was "short"...
Feel free to choose either one--if any of mine. XD Setting would probably be futuristic...or anachronistic at least, I guess...

HM, i am intrigued. I woooould like to submit...Writer for your consideration (lol, why not?)

Writer is basically a shape shifter that cannot change colour. Her entire body is (gums, teeth included)charcoal black, except for her eyes which glow yellow. Most of her movement includes morphing so anatomy is not really needed (yes, ALL my characters are shape shifters)
Oh. And she's a greedy gold digger. She wants riches and fortune and doesn't care how she gets it.
If you want to draw her with one of your characters, she'd be hanging around the richest.
